Munich/New York- BMW has announced today that Jeff Koons "will create the 17th BMW Art Car in the 35th anniversary year of the program." Some of you might recall that LACMA showcased a sample of BMWs from this project designed (decorated?) by Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg on February 2009 at the BP Grand Entrance. The Koonsmobile has not yet been designed but is scheduled to be completed by the middle of this year.
